I've spent a bit of time over the last day looking at the online nursing programs, and for anyone who is interested in studying to become a nurse, there are some really great programs available. Much of the work you can do at home, working on your PC and communicating with your Nursing School through email and messaging.
However, there are some courses in every program where you will have to do some practical work in a hospital or clinic, or maybe at a doctor's surgery. Your Nursing School will arrange this for you (unless you have particular contacts that you wish to use), and you will usually be graded for your performance on this practical work. In the case of students taking online courses, there is some flexibility as to where you work and the hours that you do, but of course, practical skills are a part of any nursing program, so there must be some kind of internship during the program.
