Learning Technology

My online unit in my institution has decided to consider a fusion of delivering programs online and holding "classes" using video conferencing techniques. At the moment most of the classes are at centers where video conferencing equipment is available for use, and they have had some good reports and feedback from students who have used this instead of attending block classes on campus.

The next move is to use web-casting for the classes, allowing better quality conferencing to happen and also allowing students to participate from their homes or work places.

New technologies are really impacting on education and on learning methods, and online programs are in the forefront of this advancement. So make sure you talk to your college about what they are going to be using for the delivery of their online courses in the near future.

I've heard of this type of hybrid coursework. Will you be using podcasting? Does your institution plan to use RSS or any kind of syndication for coursework delivery to their students?
