Online Doctorates

Having wittered on for ages earlier this year about a couple of online programs that I was to study, and then having further decided to do something more, it looks like I've gotten hoist with my own petard. I'm going to have to do a doctorate of some kind - and online.

Actually, studying for a doctorate lends itself to online delivery. A doctorate (or at least a PhD) is a research degree, so there is little teaching content after the first semester. You need to find an academic supervisor who is a "name" in a field associated with what you want to research; you will get guidance and support from your supervisor, much of which is deliverable online.

So, all I have to do is find myself a university or institute that will register me for my PhD, and who employs someone in my subject area. Could take some time.....
