Well, I've arrived at my next destination, New Zealand - and I intend to stay here for some time. The water really does go down the plughole the other way, but at least the New Zealanders all speak English - of a kind.
I spent some time during my journey from London studying my accounting course - on the principle that I needed to go to sleep on the journey, and if an online accountancy course couldn't put me to sleep, nothing will. However I was wrong. The person sat next to me was an accountant, and in the manner of all travelers was sufficiently curious to see what I was doing that he started up a conversation. It was really great, I got some serious indepth tuition from a real expert about an area that I had always felt shaky on, and that was interpreting a balance sheet, to see what wasn't there as well as what was.
I also made a good friend - my accountant was a New Zealander who happens to live in the same city I'm staying in. So I've decided that online accountancy courses are good for your social life as well as good for your career.
