Having reported last week my relief that I'd finally finished my online course in Accounting for Non Accounting Managers, I find that this week the whole cost of the course has been entirely justified. I have just managed to find a new client who needs to monitor the financial health of their company, but they don't have the time or the inclination to do any analysis on their accounting records. They want me to do the basic analysis, and give them the results in a report every month. They also want a meeting monthly to discuss the financial state of the company, and to give them recommendations on how to handle the finance.
This is really interesting to me, as this is the first part of a larger project to ready the company for some investment - right up my street. My course has given me the tools I need to do this job with confidence. I doubt that I would want to tackle it without having studied.
I know I was rude to the course in my last entry, but all is forgiven, and I take it all back. Online Accounting for Non Accounting Managers courses are really great, and I love them!
