Next Year's Online Courses

What are you going to study next year? Maybe your answer is no, but actually the odds are that you will bel learning a new skill, a new hobby or doing something to improve your life.

Studying online is a great way of making a change in your life, and one that is usually really beneficial in terms of salary as well - the better qualified you are, the more salary you are statistically going to make. So take your prospects into your own hands and make sure that you maximize your potential in 2006.

The Future

I notice a couple of comments on one of my pre-Christmas entries, that mention the things that people do as an everyday occurrence on the Internet. Actually this morning I went sales shopping on the Internet, looking at Marks and Spencer in the UK. At present I live and work in New Zealand, just about as far away as it is possible to get from the UK, and yet I buy most of my clothes from the UK and America. And of course, I spend much of my working life using the Internet for research and for online study.

In 1995, just ten years ago, I used email, and was regarded as being quite forward looking by my peers - I'm over 50. What a change in the way we live! It seems almost impossible to live without the Internet today. What intregues me is how differently we are going to live in ten years time. Maybe we will all study online, who knows?

Permanent Records

My tidying up activities are revealing lots of odd things that I neglected to do in my online courses during the last year. It's very beneficial to look over what I did, as I find that much of the knowledge is easily refreshed, but has been in the back of my mind for the last few months.

Of course, this is one of the great benefits of online programs, as you can refer to your program as reference material, making it beneficial on a permanent basis.

Online Programs for the New Year

Well, Christmas is over for another year, and now to face the New Year. Because this is always a down time for me at work, I use this time to clear up issues at work, at home and in my study, ready for another year.

I'm still in the process of working out what to study for my online program for a PhD, so I'm putting some real work into this to make sure that I get a good start in January, and work effectively the whole year. So I'm writing a proposal with an imposed deadline of January the 4th, the day that my supervisor will be back at his desk.

Merry Christmas

Just a brief word to not say anything about online courses for a change, but to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
