Studying is an expensive business. However, studying an online program can cut your costs considerably. It is true that the up front costs can be high - often online program fees are higher than traditional program fees and there is the cost of your PC and Internet connection. On the other hand there are far less costs associated with the day to day study, such as traveling, accommodation, and materials costs.
Of course, the biggest single financial factor is the loss of earnings that you may well encounter when you study in the classroom mode. Studying an online program allows you the freedom and flexibility to be able to earn while you are studying, and to live at home and not disturb your domestic life. These factors make an enormous financial difference to most people.
But measuring these costs against the gains that are to be made after you have gained your qualification will put them into real perspective.
