At the moment I'm recruiting some new staff, and as I was going through the initial applications, I started thinking about what filters I use to help me choose the employees I think are going to be best for the vacancy I need to fill.
The very first filter I use is qualifications. I need to know whether the person is going to be intellectually capable of doing the job, and qualifications give me some indication of the standard that the person can achieve. No relevant qualifications, no interview.
So if you want to create a career for yourself, the first thing you have to do is to make sure that you are well qualified. Studying for an online degree opens gates that could otherwise be shut for you - and allows you to get to the all important job interviews.
