Improving the Product

As online is gaining increasing acceptance as a good way of delivering skills and qualifications, so it is evolving and being used in different ways. Blended learning is seen as the way ahead by many learning institutions, allowing students choices in learning mode for individual courses within a program. This flexibility allows students to study subjects in ways that suit them best from both an educational and a social point of view.

In the end, online learning increases the number of students and the levels of education they reach, thus enriching the skills and knowledge base of the economy. Education is a difficult product to sell; the student pays money and then has to do a large amount of hard work for themselves - flexible approaches reduce the amount of pain necessary to gain a good and worthwhile education.

The Life

I've finally moved into a new house, one I am going to stay in for at least the next six months. For the first time for around six years I'm not living in an appartment, and I have a yard.

This weekend I set up my wireless network and started to work on the deck with my computer. This was absolute bliss, as it is spring here and I'm living in a sub-tropical area, so it was warm and sunny with a gentle breeze.

If these are the conditions which I can achieve to study my online program, then I will stop belly-aching about having to study. I found the green surroundings peaceful and conducive to thought, and being in a semi-rural environment, the sounds that disturbed me most frequently were birdsong and wind in the trees. This is definitely the life!
