My cats are getting interested in my work again. When I'm working on an assignment or any other piece of work for my online program on the computer, they become really inquisitive as to what I'm doing. They sit on my lap and watch my hands, and then they try to stop me typing.
If they can't do this, they put their paws on the keyboard, and are intreagued at the noice that this produces. One cat usually gathers her courage together and climbs up onto the keyboard, walking up and down and nosing the keys to see what they smell of. Usually it's my hands, so she gets down obviously feeling reassured that it's something to do with me.
I wonder if I can train them to type. There are days when I'm fairly sure that what they would produce would be an improvement on what I usually produce.
Hmmm, my online PhD is on my mind again. I'm finding that as I start to delve deeper into the subject matter that I'm researching, it intrudes into my everyday life a great deal. I'm usually good at compartmentalizing my thinking, but I'm failing miserably at it at the moment.
I've started to try to work out what's happening, and I think it's because this is new, I'm finding it exciting, but also because I'm aware that to do this well, I need to make it a part of my everyday life. However, I do with it would stay in it's place.
