Onwards and upwards with the online PhD. My supervisor has now set me a task that I need to do, which is to do a review of all the work in my subject area that has been published for the last 15 years. First of all, I thought this would be terrible, but now I actually quite like the idea. Because I've not studied for years, it gives me a chance to work out what has been happening in the area.
Of course, it's a lot of hard work, and it does mean that I've got to read like fury for months. However, if I do a good enough job of this, I can publish it as a paper, making life better from an academic reputation point of view. So off we go.....
